Thermodynamic Analysis of Non-Linear Reissner-Nordström Black Holes
In the present article we study the Inverse Electrodynamics Model. This model is a gauge and parity invariant non-linear Electrodynamics theory, which respects the conformal invariance of standard Electrodynamics. This modified Electrodynamics model, when minimally coupled to General Relativity, is compatible with static and spherically symmetric Reissner-Nordström-like black-hole solutions. Ho...
متن کاملInformation consumption by Reissner-Nordström black holes.
The low-energy scattering of charged fermions by extremal magnetic Reissner-Nordstrom black holes is analyzed in the large-1V and S-wave approximations. It is shown that (in these approximations) information is carried into a causally inaccessible region of spacetime, and thereby effectively lost. It is also shown that there is an infinite degeneracy of quantum black hole ground states, or "rem...
متن کاملReissner-nordström Anti-de Sitter Black Holes and Energy
We show that the tetrad field whose metric gives the Reissner-Nordström anti-de Sitter black holes gives the correct value of energy in Møller tetrad theory of gravitation. Mustafa et al. has derived a Reissner-Nordström anti-de Sitter black holes solution in Møller tetrad theory of gravitation [1]. Then, a calculations of energy of these black holes in the spherical polar coordinate have been ...
متن کاملQuasinormal modes of nearly extreme Reissner-Nordström black holes.
We present detailed calculations of the quasinormal modes of ReissnerNordström black holes. While the first few, slowly damped, modes depend on the charge of the black hole in a relatively simple way, we find that the rapidly damped modes show several peculiar features. The higher modes generally spiral into the value for the extreme black hole as the charge increases. We also discuss the possi...
متن کاملEvaporation of near-extremal Reissner-Nordström black holes.
The formation of near-extremal Reissner-Nordström black holes in the S-wave approximation can be described, near the event horizon, by an effective solvable model. The corresponding one-loop quantum theory remains solvable and allows one to follow analytically the evaporation process, which is shown to require an infinite amount of time.
